Danile B. Poneman, US deputy secretary of energy, reiterated once again that the US was not keen to sign the Kyoto Protocol to combat climate change and global warming. “We need to find some alternative mechanism to move forward,” he emphasised in the follow-up of a talk he gave at the Teri University. His remarks are significant given that the Kyoto Protocol is soon coming to an end in 2012 and no agreement has yet been arrived at what the new roadmap will be.

US has not given faithful support to Kyoto protocol so far and none of the country in the world expect it from them.
The USA is one of the leading polluters of the world and its stubbornness as well as that of a few other devloped countries has created this stalemate. What a tragedy! What every one can see these nations are not able to see! They must know that pollution knows no boundaries!!
USA is the country that donates most to the environmental pollution.Still they are not seriously taking it in action.
