Astronauts who have to spend their space journey on a strict diet regime may soon have the liberty have enjoying a glass or two of red wine, as it may be good for their health, scientists say. Researchers at the University of Strasbourg in France found that red wine, which contains several health beneficial antioxidants, could help prevent the ill effects of prolonged weightlessness on the human body.

This is a very good news for the astranauts who would travel in space in future.
I had heard that astronauts usually take liquid food only to minimise excretion!
I found it somewhere else red wine also protect astronauts against the adverse health effects of weightlessness..
Another reason to have red wine when you are in space...Surely they should consider this for the health benefits it has when they are in space....
great now it will help them to spend time in space.
I think it is related to our food habits also. Most of them prefer red wine in liquid foods.
Good news Manas...thanks for updating. You always keep brushing our GK and current affairs....Thanks a ton.
Really a good research by scientists and I am sure that it is going to help the astronauts in the orbits immensely....
