Why 60 second time interval on comment posting.

I had a same question. It is wasting my time a lot. We are not doing any spam. I didn't understood why Maverick kept this option.

I have an answer for your doubts.It is a must.Else many will open pole or articles and without reading them will post comments just to get points.If not checked it will become a practice and I think within two posts reading 1 minut waiting is good.Won't you take one minut to open, read and post your comments ????

Yes i am agree with you for this point.

Abid is absolutely right..I too believe that its a must.It will take a 1 minute gap for commenting if we are sincerely doing it.

i also agree with all 20sec is ok so why 60sec its really waste of time we have to wait for 60 sec
blocking ip address is good if any one doing spam

I think 60 second is enough time most user complete comment in 40 second so its better if its become 40 second instead of 60 second.

as abid and lohit said, it may be ok for keeping 60 seconds difference in posting comments on articles.. but its totally waste of time in posting comments on polls.. maximum 30 or even 20 seconds itself is enough on opening the poll , vote and comments on poll section..
so it is necessary to reduce time on to post comments on polls

I also experience problem due to this sixty seconds.But as experts of this site says it may be useful.So no complaint.

Yes, it is good for articles. But reading poll takes just maximum of 20 seconds. So better for polls, the time should be reduced

For articles there is no question of asking less than 60 seconds time limit as it is the far lesser time that you need to even read a single para of the article.

For polls you may not need 60 seconds to read the title but you will definitely need it at least for reading all options, voting and finally writing the comment. So why you are so much concerning about the 60 seconds time limit?

I came across lot of polls. Only some polls need 60 seconds. Many polls need 25 to 30 seconds. So we are concentrating on time limit.

ya.. rakesh is correct.. some polls can understand by question itself and it contains only two options and it is easy to comment within 30 seconds itself...so it should reduce time in posting comments on polls.........
