What is Absolutism?

Absolutism is complete dictatorship of a monarch or ruler. This also is a term distinct from relative. Generally, we view or measure things in relation to one another and absolute definition is generally not possible. For example, time is related to rotation of Earth. Thus time at every time differs from one country to another. Thus even time is a relative concept. We may have 'absolute' concept' but can measure only in 'relative' terms.
