Jyothi Basu , one of the star of Indian Politics ( I am not a communist ) passed away yesterday. He has the record of longest term continuously in Chief Minister's chair.West Bengal acheived most of its developments under his rule.

Jyoti Basu was a secularist and he fought for people. He pioineered agriculturl reforms and ended landlordship. It is not necessary to be a communist to appreciate him. all that we need is to be above petty issues like regioalism, castism, communalism and fight for justice and against exploitation.
