Helping Beggar

Unclaimed amount goes to government. Pradeep writely said. But should we help beggars. I feel that all should be encouraged to work and not live on begging. Even on living on rental income, interest etc is not so desirable.

Government should make some plans for beggar,so that number of beggar are reduced. Government should give them some type of source,so that that they can too earn for their living.

Ronark, do you really believe that beggars would love to work if they are given work?

I personally doesn't encourage beggars but I would like to help needy people who are begging and really need some sort of help may be financially or any other ways,but not to those beggars who make it a profession.

Beggar is one who has lost self respect and opted this profession. Unless sonmeone begs, you will not know that he is needy. A self respecting person will not beg even if he is needy.

I prefer to help those who are working but for some reason they need help. It is okay to help needy students for their requirement of books and other expenses. It is okay to help some one needing medical care.

Well said Gulshanji, beggars are those who lost their self respect. I also wanted to say needy person in the same context as yours.

Why we are promoting beggars. Animals life is better than beggars. I think begging should removed from India to become more developed country.

I think that we can discourage beggary and do things so that it gets limited but at the same time it seems a difficult aspect to remove beggary from the word go...

At some places I feel the presence of beggars are inconvenient.So helping them there will encourage them to beg more.

Well,I have seen many beggars actually putting down the comfort they need and continue begging. Many people have tried to place these beggars in rehabilitation centres; but reports have come that they have ran away and escaped as they prefer begging

Infact begging is a constant job- no need to pay taxes,roam anywhere,no need to be answerable to anyone,no effect of recession/inflation!

Beggar should not be encouraged through helping them. If we want to truly help the needy than we can try to give them an opportunity for making them self dependent not by extending financial support for free. It will make thim independent than depending on others.

Yes we should help beggars who can't earn, and must not help those who can work and earn, instead of working they beg

Even giving food or tea discourages beggars from working. Any way, this is better than giving cash. Free food is available any way in temples and Gurdwara.

Let us distinguish begging and beggars! There are some particularly old and infirm who are victims of cruel fate and they need our support!

helping beggar is good.but now a days low level people had made begging as their job. so helping the person who is really a beggar as he is old or unable to do his things and so he is begging , helping such people is
good for our country but helping the people who are perfectly alright means it is just encouragement by helping them

Its very difficult job to find a rally needy people, If desire to help out others......

Lot of beggar begging money not to fullfill his requirement they waste money or the put money in pocket permanently its not good. Lot of are drinker.
