Not only Beggar, helping to any one who is in deep help is very good thing. Such work will feel you proud that you have helped someone when he /she was in great help.
yes we must help the beggar if he really deserve.people having good health, guys acting like half men women for money and small children who comes out for begging .such people we must not give any thing.this will be better for our country.only handicap deserves to beg not the people who can work
We should encourage all to work. We should discourage begging in all forms.
After seeing movie slum dog millineour I do not support to bigger because i do not want to create more crime
Begging is not good for any country and when we help beggars we encourage beggary...So it is always advisable to help only those beggars whom you think is required to help like the physically challenged ones. Personally I think twice before giving anything to the beggars who are physically sound and can work to earn their living...
I think if we do not promote begging then it will be good for our country because its very difficult to judge who is right bigger and who is wrong. As per my point of view promoting to bigger is like a crime. Instead of giving money we need to help them to give some job.
I agree with Santosh Kumar singh. all should be gainfully employed. Even the disabled are not totally useless. They can also work even though at lower efficiency. It is commendable that there is some reservation for physically handicapped in government jobs. Private employers should also work in this direction. The handicapped should also be encouraged for self employment.

We should discourage all begging even that disguised in religious garb.
I am in Mumbai and facing lot of beggars daily I can feel how they have been tortured. Some faces are too dangerous, someone leg missing some one hands and eyes.

So who is responsible for all these types of thing only we. We are creating greedy gangs.
I also don't support begging. I have seen people who help beggars by providing them household jobs, i think we can also follow it..
But some beggars are like kings and they simply don't want to work, they work or beg for only that much through which they can have notorious things like liquor etc and maintain their life. If someone provides them with job they seem to run away with the material valuables where they work....
Sometimes I feel they are to be discouraged. But when sees someone really feels what is an alternate way to them?
Instead of helping beggars, helping needy people would be a better option.I have seen several old women and men forced to begging who may be over 80 years old, still these people move in street whole day and night for their livelihood.
helping to others is good but giving money is not only solution for beggars. I think we need to help beggars also but in your way not beggars way.
It is difficult to judge who is the needy begger as these days the is a news of one begger dying rich with Rs 200000/- in his pocket. Its better to offer them some food so as to pacify their hunger.
One can help a needy person on the basis of his judgement that he is really needy since if God is giving you, you can help others with that money, at least to some extent.
Mukesh, its true that beggar are now a days becoming very rich. Its good to give them some food rather than money.
Recently I received a mail showing the assets of some beggars in and around Mumbai. They are crorepathis!!!!
Yes, I agree with Abid with this fact and I also saw a newspaper sometime back which revealed that a beggar who died in the suburbs of Kolkata had huge amount of money!!!
But when they die if it is there as bank balance to whom it will be useful?
I think not only beggars there are lot of persons who left money after death and have no any relative.
But when they die if it is there as bank balance to whom it will be useful?

Legally, after seven years the amount will be deposited in Govt. of India's account and will be national property, if no one claim within the seven years of that person death.
