It is opined that the facility of not filing return is accompanied by such stiff conditions that there is hardly anyone who may actually avail the facility. Most slaried income tax payers have income from investments and so they have to file return.

It is a great initiative by IT department as it becomes a headache to file ITR even if you have form 16 stating one's TDS as applicable.
