Can you cry under water?

Yes. If you are traveling in a ship or submarine, you may cry.

Under water and in water are two different things. You may not cry when in the water but you can when under water. An individual in a submarine, a ship may be under water and can cry. If you just stand below a water tank, you are under water and there is nothing to stop you from crying.

I have not tried this yet. But I will try this in future when I am swimming under the sea.

To my mind crying is just expressing one's heaviness of heart and it can be done without shedding tears!

Really finding it difficult to answer and another question crept into my find while thinking about this question in process...Can we smile under water?? and believe me if we can smile under water then surely we can also cry under water and if we can't then let's forget the question altogether....

Smiling or crying are all emotional processes and one can emote in all conditions!

I think its possible but haven't tried yet.Emotions are always uncontrollable.

I think it`s very difficult to cry in water...But we can laugh....

I think it is possible to express any emotions underwater but not for longtime unless you are in submarine as said by gulshan. :cheer:

There are some persons who cry within without shedding tears!!

If this was asked 15 years back I would go to nearby river and try it.But the river polluted now and can't sink in!

I have never tried the same. But I think I can't because the water will wash away the tears and it is very difficult to cry under water.
