I believe in punishment. Reward and punishment are necessary everywhere for smooth functioning and discipline. But punishment should be according to rules and not at spot and angrily.

I think teachers should find out the reason for a student being late and after analysis if he/she finds the students to be guilty of being late for some lame reasons then they should punish the student otherwise not...

Yes when students come late they are punished in a serious way in our school when we come late they told to do knell down in the ground we do for sometime after that we like to play for this we came daily late

The serious punishment not going to help better investigate reason for late and then punish according to that..

students should be punished after 2-3 warnings .because if he or she don't understand the warning it means they are getting late knowingly or in order to avoid the rules.

Once the teacher should tell him that this is his/her last warning. If he come late from tomorrow he /she would be punished.
