Smoking has been banned by Government of china in indoor public places like restaurants, bars, hospitals. Happily, in this respect, India leads. china only followed what India did earlier. But we expect that ban in china will be more effectively imlemented.

This is a good news for Chinese, hope the rule is followed strictly
In India, this rule has already been done, but very few of them obey rules.

Why it is so?
It really feels good to learn that Smoking is getting banned in public places whether in China or India and in a way it is helping the smokers as well as the non-smokers to keep away from the cluthes of this deadly monster which is engulfing the health and peace of present generation...

There is better implementation of law in China. In our country also, the people in south abide by law more. But in North India especially in western U.P. and Delhi, many take pride in breaking law.
Gulshan ,

I am from South India and I am proud that we are law keepers. Each should be proud in obeying the laws prevailing in a country.
Laws are made to broken. So, people enjoy in breaking. They don't care of anybody. Lets see how much in china people obey rules.
In china the laws will be implemented firmly and people will obey it.. In India people don't obey laws to a great extent... I wish there should be a strict implementation of laws in India too...
Whatever you might say, I find people in India smoking less then they what used to do before the passing of the law...I even find people protesting against the smokers who smokes in trains or any other public places, before hardly anyone used to protest...
If smoking prohibition laws are strictly implemented in India and China the cancer death rate of the world may get down drastically.
It is also a fact that together with the government the smokers also have to be careful about not smoking or quitting the habit of smoking, then I think that this menace could be controlled to a certain extent...
THe smoker itself has to control to make the world free from this evil.
i hate smoker's and smoking......... B)

india is country ,where you don't aspect to improve or avoid people smoking.

This is the mindset of rowdy elements especially those in Delhi and Western U.P.. The people in places like Bangalore observe law. We may expect that Chinese are not like Delhites and they will observe rules on smoking in public places.
Yes, I am also sure that the Chinese will surely follow the rules regarding the same very seriously and I think that there is no doubt about it...
China is Northern to India. If North Indians has some behaviour definitely Chinese may also !!
