Set back to women's movement

The recent verdict by Pakistan Supreme court acquitting the accused in gang rape of Mukhtaran Mai has given setback to women rights groups everywhere and particularly in Pakistan. The woman was gang raped on order of unlawful Kangaroo court. Apparently, the accused have been acquitted for want of sufficient evidence. This case got international coverage and Mukhtaran Mai became symbol of women fight against injustice.

The women organizations need to reactivate the case.
