Endosulfan has been banned in Kerala. But this is smuggle from adjoining Tamailnadu, where this is not banned. Hence, the ban is not effective.

Lack of coordination between different states and lethargy of Central Government are responsible for ineffectiveness of the ban.
Eventhough banned it is used widely in the different farms.Getting such large quantities means banning is just in paper!
What is endosulfan ? can you please explain what is it

Cental government especially Sharath Pawar is repeatedly saying banning endosulphan is impossible.
The Kerala Government is repeatedly pressing for central government action to ban the drug but the center is very indifferent and not botheredabout people.
There is strong pesticide lobby at work at center. Hence central government is reluctant to enforce ban on the harmful pesticides.
