Do you think that you have born in the right era? Or perhaps you think that if only you could have born earlier or later you could have done much better than what you are doing now in terms of personal achievements, contribution to society, fame and publicity. Give you answer and support it with valid reasons.
As far as me is concerned I sometimes think that if only I could have born earlier I could have played an important role in the freedom struggle of our country and perhaps that would have given me a chance to fight for the freedom struggle of my country together with our great leaders like Gandhiji and Subhas Chandra...

I can control my activities only at present. The right time always is NOW. At every time, there are persons with different traits. We only play our role at a given time. It is futile to think of time and place of birth other than actual.

This post was basically for the purpose of general discussion and I am really thankful to the members participating in it and sharing their views to the topic...I am a bit surprised though with how all the members felt the same way about it and rightly so, we should always believe in the present and try to work out things and ways and do always something constructive and positive so that we could make the maximum possible use about the present in which we are living and breeding...

Why all think similarly. This is not surprising. all know that they could neither change place nor time of birth. So this is really a fantassy. However, we may enjoy this as a fantassy. This will improve our knowlege of history and geography. Thus if I choose that I were born in Franch in the 16th centuty, I need to know France at the particular period. But we can fantasize about some thing we know. Such fantasy can be an entertaining exercise.
Whenever you born , it is right era, right time and right location. It depends on your past life karmas. You will always be there may be in different forms and colors at different locations. Life is ongoing journey and death is transformation phase. So you were always be there, whether you say 100,1000,10000 etc years before. You will always be there after that also. It is a journey of soul, body is just a cloth or cover of it.
I feel that whichever time and whatever place you are born into IS the right time and for you because that was predestined! Even if things do work out and you feel everything is wrong, it is in our hands to make them turn around and turn right for you!
Although given the choice of time to be born into, I would like to have been born during the reign of Shivaji Maharaj. I would love to see how he actually looked like and to actually see his exploits!
