Electric shocks for cure of mental patients is being stopped. We witnessed this in many movies. One such is Dus Numbari. Now the shock will be administered rarely and that too after administering anesthesia

Giving electric shocks to mental patients was really a very inhuman way to cure them and this kind of patients should be treated with affection and care and nice to hear that it has been banned. In certain cases, if the doctors feel the need of it then I agree they could use anesthesia before applying any such drastic step.
