Stalin calls on superstar Rajnikanth

Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi's son and deputy chief minister M K Stalin today called on actor Rajnikanth at the latter's Chennai residence, setting off tongues wagging about a possible political arrangement for the assembly elections in the state due on April 13. DMK leaders, however, said that Stalin had called on the actor at his Poes Garden residence merely "to get his best wishes" before he kicked off his party's campaign.
