Muammar Gaddafi's government said it was declaring a unilateral ceasefire in its offensive to crush Libya's revolt, as Western warplanes prepared to attack his forces.

There is no denying the fact that western powers have colonialist designs in Libya and United nations is playing as handmaiden. This is what Col. Gaddafi has understood the hard way.
