I think current system is ok to increase traffic on boddunan no need to do all these things to get point if any person remain 2 hours online then he can earn point more by working.

Its a very good idea.you are right.When someone think of logging out they will definitely stay for some more time to reach the limit.
Points can be given a little more.Say 8 for 1 hr continues.

By just giving extra points, nobody may be attracted. The contents should be made more attractive rather for keeping visitors glued to the site.

If members stay online more then one hour he/she can earn more point by activity..no need of this new one..

I think Soubhagya has come up with a good idea and its quite feasible too. Boddunan has so much to offer and when members spend more time on the site, they will definitely try doing something or the other. I'm sure members will become more active and participative as well. Lets see what Maverick has to say.

I too agree with you that this would be a very good idea. However, technically it is complex as tracking how much time a member is active is not that easy. Do you have any clues on alternative ways?

If it was technically possible my suggestion was 5 points for first hour,10 for second,20 for third,40 for 4th ,80 for 5th and doubling so on!!!!

I do not have idea so much but I think some software is available to track that because There are some sites like ticketbar.info who pays there member for how many hour they stay on line but I think for that member has to upload a software provided by ticketbar.info which is just minimum 1 MB space take and easy to install

I have seen in the websites of banks, if the site is kept idle without any action and after sometime if we click it will say "Your session has expired. Please login". Similar kind of tracking is needed here.But it needn't log out. Just it has to record the time

But before introducing this some bugs in current software is to be cleared.I often get logged of automatically between replying to forums.It will be known only on submiting the reply.Now also it occured.

@abid, could you please let me know your machine configuration i.e. os, browser and any firewall/internet security software you are using?

Sometimes your machine settings will makes the cookies/cache to be removed at the regular intervals which will cause login expiration.

I got an idea launch multiplayer games like chess or any mulitplayer game and starts competitions like one can challenge another for large points like 100 and who wins get the other points and other people can see the match when going.

I think article hits cannot be considered as real reading of the articles because many people will click articles to earn points.

This is not a practical idea. A visitor will stay online only if he / she opens the site. What the member will do with points?

Copied contents; grammatical and spelling mistake and wrong and poor English will drive away the visitor. Hence let us improve the standard of the site.
