First, whatever appears peculiar is difficult. When more women pick courage, society accepts. The widows find less difficult in single mom parenting. But the divorcee and more particularly, the unwed single moms face more difficulty.

Man is a social animal.So it becomes perfect when a male and female joins.These are some exceptional cases.

This has aspect of gender bias. Nobody minds single Dad. Then what wrong with single mom.

I agree that its not bad being a single mom, well for celebrities its still okay but being in this conservative Indian society its really difficult for a normal lady to follow it..

Both parents are necessary. Single parent option is out of necessity. A widow and widower have no option but to perform as single parent unless they remarry. A divorced person also has to assume responsibility as single parent. Such cases are unpleasant. Here I wish to stress that a single mom and single papa are similar and there should be no gender bias. I appreciate the view of abid that single dad and single mom both are equal.
