International Women's Day

We are writing on Women in the newly introduced creative writing contest. The very first contest is on women. If women are not writing on this issue, it is their maturity. Now they are more concerned with national and international issues rather than their own. Women are not just equal, rather dominant partners in many fields.

Incidentally, this post should be in 'general discussions' and not 'announcements'.

In Pune, Woman's day was celebrated as, for all Women(age no bar), all shows of hit movies were free for the day in Big Cinemas.

They treated us very well and we enjoyed a lot. People were wishing us everytime. Shops were decorated saying "Happy Woman's Day". It was more like a festival.

I was happy to see the respect given to women on that day.

I think being the centenary year this day was noticed by all.We in our college started a new forum for ladies named "Jwala"

I personally believe this particular holds very liitle significance as far as an average Indian woman is concerned!
