The mobile number portability seems to have hit hard the state owned telecom players. While Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) lost 131,581 customers Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd's (MTNL) subscriber base declined by 5,869 customers after number portability ( MNP) service was introduced.

BSNL has lost many customers and now they are not allowing the current customers to port to other networks.Most of the port in request of BSNL numbers are being rejected..

BSNL lost this much customers.But when I asked many had changed to BSNL!
