Eminent economist Malthus had long back cautioned against population growth that rises in geometric progression as against food that grows in arithmetical progression. The technological changes have delayed his prophesy but cannot demolish his theory.
By 2050, the shape of Earth will be drastically different unless population is effectively controlled. Earth remains same whiile population is rising by leaps and bounds.

May be God decides. But we learn from physical conditions. It is true that the size of earth and produce therefrom is limited. If population goes on growing as is the trend, Malthusian theory proves correct.

Many are losing their lives in calamities also. The theory does not see it in advance.
According to Malthus, if we do not control population by positive check, nature will do this in its own way. Hence calamities are nature way of checking population.
Fact remains that overall land area on Earth will not increase. Despite calamities, quakes, population is rising. This is sure to result in crisis sooner or later. Ultimately, Malthus is correct. we shall ignore him to our peril.
