"Honor Killing' is not honorable

How come they be so rude to their own children?. Is caste and religion more important than the lives of their children?

There is news of a man killing his own grandfather for so called 'honor'. I wonder why only girls are killed for honor. Why boys have no 'honor'. This also shows how deep rooted the gender discrimination is. A boy never loses 'honor'. Only girl will lose this and get killed.

The very term "honor" in relation to killing mocks at it own face! Some Northern states follow this fedulaistic and brutal practice.

Apart from caste and religion, there is also gender discrimination. They never kill boys for 'losing honor'. It seems only girls are vested with this 'virtue' of 'honor'.

Yes, I agree with you, Gulshan. When a girl is raped she is more guilty than the person who has committed the crime. The worst thing is the society encourages this.

This is the situation of our country.Honour killing becomes suicide and vice versa.
