Who is Wise and Who is Enlightened?

@chinmoy can you explain what this post mean? I could not understand

This is a bit philosophical. S far we know only one enlightened i.e. Gautam Buddha. The word 'Buddha' means 'enlightened. Most of us are either wise or fool.

Wisdom and enlightenment are two words which admit of different interpretations.To my humble understanding both seem to be inseperably linked and enlightenment is a much higher spiritual goal with wisdom as a means to attain it!

Gulshan, though Gautam Buddha is the only one person who is considered as enlightened, I think there were many many others who too were enlightened! With regards to US, we are mainly fools because we all conisder ourselves as wise as owls!!

Thanks Kalyani! As I understand the essence of knowledge is wisdom and we put it to either material or spiritual realm.

It is correct.Know yourself and respect others should be our policy.

Such awarenes only comes on attainment of knowledge about oneself!
