For the past few weeks i see some people are starting a new thread and just giving an hint about the topic in two lines and then asking to click here or Read more.

The main reasons for few person is they are indirectly promoting their blogs or some websites.

This is true. Giving link to a particular site very often proves this.
This may not be correct every time as people may have intention of passing knowledge and updates among others and to get better insight, might have posted links.
Such smart practices are there but like any other practice when posting of links is done with a clear conscience to promote knowledge nobody is going to take exception at that!
Each and every product need promotion to sell in the market. its required.

If you want to share some real information then read it and try to post an article on that or give a crisp on that information i mean like a summary and then give that link. It is not fair to post a link directly and it will increase the page views of that blog or that website. Instead if you give a crisp introduction on that there are chances you can get a DFAA award.

Better you dont tell me what to do and what not to. I am not purposely just adding links in few posts. I am providing adequate information and then giving link. You may find such posts with only link but that may be due to subject of that post is self explanatory.
And one more point to add..

I have never posted any post just for posting it or haven't posted any fake information.
there is both cases, some are giving valuable information and some are misusing it.
Can you pls tell me how you set your signature please
Friends,

Don't pick up a duel on this issue.The point is whether posting such links helps in promoting the cause and if it does so it is a good practice and welcome.Criticism is reserved for its misuse only!
@Abhishek Dua

First of all i didn't mean you and i posted it generally. Sorry if it hurted you and while coming to your posts many post you created in the past was like QnA however you posted in forums.Am I Right?
@Abhishek Dua

I didn't mean to say that they are not informative they are informative however forum is meant for discussion and sharing. Most of your topics were like you asked a question and yourself answered those questions. Instead if you have posted them in QnA then it have been a good challenge to test everyone's skills and knowledge.
I don't think giving links that support the information is a bad practice. But it will become headache when users try to misuse this small loophole. Recently we had to ban a senior member due to this cause after giving a couple of warnings. Anyway, if you see such malpractice anywhere, please do report it through report link.
This is a matter of honesty of the members.If the member really wish to share it may be allowed.Ask your mind itself.
