While deciding the case of Dara Singh, killer of a Christian missionary, the supreme court has viewed that there should be no forceful religious conversion.

Presently, India is secular and Christians have majority only in certain area. It is not understandable how anybody may be converted by them forcefully. Apparently, people are converted more on conviction. The lower caste have no status in Hindu religion. The tribal had no religion before embracing Christianity. They must have converted on conviction. For tribal, this is really no conversion.

Generally, conversion is not desirable. It is okay to believe in any thought and worship in any way or not worship. But religion is also a community. In the sense of community, one cannot convert unless large number or whole community convert.
