I am new to this and can any one tell me how to send a message to other members in this site.

Go to My Account->Email and you can send email from there.

Alternatively you can send an email from forums by clicking PM button below the Avatar of the user. This works if his post available on forums only.

Look at the bottom of the left margin. There is a purple button "Private Messages" with an image of an envelop. Click that and go ahead with sending messages...
