Anapurna is a border region between Tibet and Nepal. This region has been peaceful but now there are lot of criminal activities.

Sale of Yarsagumba- a caterpillar- that has many medicinal qualities has always been considered as sin. But the younger generation is not bothered about age old belief and is minting money by selling Yarsagumba. This is obviously curse of the region.

They are doing nothing unlawful. There is age old tradition of not selling the caterpillar. This is just a superstition.

Yes, picking Yarsagumba may not be illegal, but it certainly is leading to a lot of illegal stuff!

Believing in that superstition let the community reside in peace and harmony and now that is all disturbed for want of more money! so sometimes, I think superstition is good!
Due of lack of job opportunities only, they try to make money selling the caterpillars.I agree with Rajani. :) :)
