Blue Revolution is the water equivalent of the green revolution and primarily refers to the management of water resources that can steer humanity to achieve drinking water and crop irrigation security.

The phrase became a buzzword during the Third World Water Forum in Tokyo. Solutions are desperately needed because the United Nations estimates that 2.7 billion people will face a critical shortage of drinkable water by 2025.

Water management is very much necessary as people are already facing drinking water shortage...Which is going to be worse in future....

Water is the essence of life. This is next to air. We are getting polluted air and water to breathe and drink. With increasing world population, we are facing shortage of water and air is getting polluted because of green house gases.

We need to stress on clean water.
