Smoking

Smoking is one of the most common ways to develop heart problems. People who smoke for more than 10 years have a 35% greater chance of developing a heart attack, because the toxic effects of smoking cause obstruction of the coronary arteries which are the fuel lines to heart muscles.

High Fat Diet

A high fat diet is also a big factor in heart disease. Fatty deposits clog the arteries leading to your heart and could eventually decrease your heart's ability to pump blood. Some examples of fatty foods include pizza, homogenized milk, cooked meats and eggs.

Yes.. i agree.. even alcohols contribute to heart diseases. at the same time, it affects kidneys as well.
i agree to all the views and one more alcohols will damage mainly your liver and i dont think so it causes a heart disease. One thing is for sure high fat diet can cause clog and as a result you get heart attacks.
Knowing the risk factors for heart disease could reduce your chances of having a heart attack
A person who cycles about 30 minutes a day, won't ever suffer from diabetes or any heart disease as long as he does it.
I feel that smoking causes problem for lungs not heart, high fat diets causes problems as fat block the hearts valves.
