Where to keep LCD TV?

LCD TVs are thin and can be either wall or table mounted. However, one should avoid placing an LCD TV over a functioning fireplace. Similarly, if kept on a table or TV cabinet, make sure that the table size is slightly more than the size of the LCD TV. Keep space for ventilation and connection access.

A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) television delivers a beautiful, luminous picture by selectively filtering white light to produce a color spectrum. The delicate electronics inside the TV do not respond well to bumps or jostling, and the screen itself can be easily scratched. This is why care must be taken when storing the TV, either for long periods of time or when moving to another location. Saving the original packing materials is the best way to plan ahead for storage needs, although other precautions when storing the set will protect the investment.
