Nano is a safe car: Tata Motors

Tata Motors has embarked on a new advertisement campaign on the 'safety' aspect for recommencing booking of small car Nano, which has been in the news for catching fire on a few occasions.

"We've built a car in which safety is part of standard equipment," the company said.

The Nano comes with safety features such as "monocoque chassis and crumple zones today", it added.

The advertisement, which appeared in a national daily today for booking of the car, assumes significance in the wake of six incidents of Nanos catching fire across the country since its commercial launch in March, 2009.

A car is safe as long as it doesn't meet with an accident.Honestly I consider the claim of Tatas to be a tall one.
tatas are most trusted brand in india........ so the products made by tatas are of high quality.

Tata is known for its reputation.Hope Nano doesnt catch fire again. :)
That must be good news for Nano users but i think more demand is due to the reputation of the name "TATA" that the products.
Performances in lab and trial conditions and on actual road conditions in India are two different ball games.Let us just hope that Nano is as safe as is being claimed!!
It has always been a concern that Nano is not safety first car, due to the make and the low quality body parts.. good that tata is taking some initiative
Tata is one of the best and branded company which produces good products.. :) :) :)
