North Korea World Cup coach Kim Jong-hun has been sacked, publicly ridiculed, expelled from the Worker’s Party and made a construction labourer after his team failed to do well in South Africa.

Kim Jong Hun
He has also been accused of betraying General Kim Jong-un, the shadowy son of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, raising fears that he could be executed.

According to the Daily Express, North Korea has executed two top officials in recent times.

The team was initially praised for their spirited display against Brazil, when they lost 2-1.But they were left stunned when the team lost 7-0. They finished their campaign with a 3-0 defeat by the Ivory Coast.

On their return home, the squad were forced to stand for six hours on a stage at the People’s Palace of Culture while an audience of 400 party officials, athletes and students reprimanded and ridiculed them.

This is very outrageous and humiliating, violating all sorts of human rights!!! A case of extreme dictatorship!!
but then what else can be expected from a bunch of egotistic maniacal communists!!
No wonder that country is not progressing!!!! Communism SUCKS TO THE CORE .

Football in Iraq
During the rule of the government of Saddam Hussein, Saddam's son, Uday Hussein, was in charge of the Iraqi Olympic Committee and, by extension, the national football team. Under Uday's leadership, motivational lectures to the team included threats to cut off players' legs, while missed practices resulted in prison time and losses resulted in flogging with electric cable or baths in raw sewage, if penalites or an open goal was missed or own goals were scored then that person would have their feet whipped with thorns
Ridiculing sportsmen or punishing them just for short achievements is improper. It is okay to review their performance and take remedial action. Willful negligence and corruption must be punished but short achievements must be taken lightly and in sportsmen spirit. It is not always possible to make good achievements.
FIFA shouldn't allow the Communist Countries in World Cups!!!!he should have gone to some other country after their WC ended
Sajeetharan- FIFA may ban countries that practise inhuman practice and work against ethics and sportsmanship. There cannot be ban on all communist countries as there are not such complaints against all of them. As pointed out in this thread itself, Iraq regime also misbehaved with players who could not perform well in international sports. However, North Korea definitely deserves condemnation by all and should be banned in all international sports.
First of all it was an ill-fortunate thing for North Korea.....They were placed in the Group of Death!!Also North Korea came into the World Cup as the lowest ranked team...
Sajeetharan- North Korea is definitely a very bad dynastic dictatorship and most uncivilized. North Korea must be denied entry in all international sports.
Yes gulshan!

north korea is an archetype of an ultimate hardcore communist state, this is wat happens when state takes control over everythin including your life, proponents of communism must visit that place and think over the future they are dreaming of, i wonder how many coaches were executed in the past given the control of the state over the media, this time it has been reported, lets hope someone will interfere and save the poor coach
I agree. But this is not a question of communist state. That is only a cover. The main thing is that North Korea is a dynastic dictatorship. Presently, the other communist states are China, Vietnam and Cuba. China is a communist state but without dynastic rule. There are many non communist countries that have worst dictatorship. Middle East countries are also among these. We should oppose all inhuman practices and anti people and uncivilized tendencies in whatever garb or shape there surface.
We forgot the korean war of 1950 ?

China won't let that happen, what america can do is engage them like they are engaging china on business terms rather than wanting North koreans to beg mercy from the south koreans and america.
Sajeethran- The countries like U.S.A. and China are more interested in own national interests rather than promoting human values. china is supporting not only North Korea but also the worst dictatorial regime in Myanmar. North Korea is in Chinese camp. China also has less regard for human rights but is no crude as North Korea. U.S.A. also supports the dictatorial regime to suit her interests. U.S.A. has been always supporting military dictatorships in Pakistan and other countries as against Democratic India. International politics has no regard for human rights and values.
Everything, which is done to its extreme, is bad...Extreme communism, capitalism or even extreme democracy...
This is very bad and if it is true than are North koreans at war during world cup. People of the country should strongly protest such incidents.
Thats really very bad of the North korea officials on the coach. In sports you can't perform good all the time...

sajeetharan keep accept this kind of things happening to the common people in Muslin states...
I agree. Extreme is always bad. That is why we need multi party system that ensures that extreme views of one party are moderated by the other. Secondly, dynastic rule and politics leads to worst dictatorship. In our country, all political parties except BJP and the communists suffer from dynastic politics.
