Why people often hesitate to pose for a shot?

Though I am very talkative, I become very nervous once I see a camera. I can't simply smile before a camera. I don't know why. What about you people? What may be the reason behind it?

I am also camera shy. I get photo only for PANCARD or some similar purpose. My avtar photo is also such.

Ha Ha ... Actually I never uploaded mine photo on any such forum. I have it on FB but not on any other site.. In all sites I am having this yellow ball only..
