On Tuesday, South Africa's batsman Ashwell Prince, speaking ahead of the first Test beginning on Thursday, conceded that India must have been doing some things right to achieve the top rank.

"We've a lot of respect for the Indian team," he said, while adding, "Playing India has always been tough, whether they are Number One or Five. They have always been competitive."
The South African camp is not taking the Indian bowling attack lightly either, as underlined by Prince. "We respect the Indian bowling attack. They (the pacers) have done well in the sub-continent where they don't get a lot of help. Here, they will get good support."
