Doctors convicted for gender tests

Sex determination tests before birth are common in Haryana and Rajasthan as well as in West U.P. The heinous crime of killing female child in womb is facilitated by such tests. In stead of contributing to social awareness, the educated class like doctors indulge in such anti social practices. this is so heinous.

many doctors in haryana have been convicted recently.

    These crimes should be treated as manslaughter and these doctors should be punished accordingly!

    I suggest that these malpractices and anti social activities should be punished by debarring doctors from practice for a number of years.

    but I do not think that would stop them from surreptitiously conducting abortions for people with money and power! These doctors should not be let loose in the society! Also investigations should be done to reveal who were their clients and they too be punished! That will deter not only the doctors but also people who approach such doctors to commit female foeticides.

    Gender test is quiet common in western country but in India it is misused often..so the thinking must be changed than completely blaming the technology.

    This corruption has to be uprooted right from the very roots! Its kind of a vicious circle - Medical Council taking bribes from Medical colleges - colleges taking enormous donations from medical students - students when become doctors start taking money from their patients to cover theuir educational costs! They then also resort to illegal practices such as taking huge amount of money from rich people for conducting such illegal operations!
