Sikh soldier completes US Army training with turban on

It is a very good thing that the person completed the training without any compromise on his faith. :) :)

While the Sikh soldier deserves congratulation on his success, the weakness of United States administration is very clear. The Sikh soldier was given exemption from restriction on turban.

A civilized and democratic government runs on the basis of 'equality before law' and 'uniformity of procedure'. It is pity that individual cases have to be cleared for exemption for wearing turban. The rules in army and in any government organization should be clear and uniform. There should be no exceptions. Either turban should be allowed to all Sikhs or nobody. This is gross breach of principle of rule of law and creates doubt on legitimacy of functioning of U.S. administration.

Indeed a great thing for a sikh soldier to complete his task without compromising with his religion....

If there is a will there is a way.So we must be bold to adhere to our faiths and beliefs.

I think in a multi-racial society such gestures are common and should be appreciated!

Its great honour for him and he has made sikh people proud so as indians.
