According to a study the melting glaciers in the Himalayas as a result of global warming would badly affect our food security.It is estimated that 1.4 billion people depend on water from Indus,Ganges,Brahmaputra,Yangtze and Yellow rivers.The reduced flow of water would threaten the food security.

This is alarming. Global warming cannot be contained without drastically reversing the industrialization process and forestation.
This is a sad news. Thank you for bring this issue out. THis will increase the importance of planting trees.
This is very alarming!! Apart from threat to food security, it also poses great danger to human civilization in the basins of these rivers! I remember having read about an island in the Brhmaputra river, I don't remember the name, but that it is slowly sinking into the ever-widening flow of the Brahmaputra and the villagers are now left homeless and have lost their fields too! :(
It,indeed, a very grim scenario and these river systems are gravely threatened.Something very drastic and imaginative must be done to save ourselves.
Yes it is dangerous situation...hope it is now time to handle such situation untill it is not too late.. :(
