People the right to live as they like unless they cause annoyance or inconvenience to others. Consumption of alcoholic drinks in private or in pubs should not be a matter of concern to anyone. The function of Goverment is to govern and not to manage private life of citizens. Hence, the ban on drink in gujarat is undemocratic and improper.
i think its right as due to alcohol people are spoiling their health they think this is the only way to reduce stress But there are many ways to reduce stress but not drinking alcohol.
I am very pleased with the gujarat government if they ban drinks
drinking leads to death and loses confidence. so i request each and every individual dont spoil your health think about your families who are dependent on you who still cares about you.
Its right for the people(those who don't drink)
Its wrong for the government( loss of money)
Its wrong for the drinkers( dissatisfaction)
Its right for the drinkers( when considering their lungs!!!!)
Its right for the government( people's satisfaction with the current government where the same government could be elected next time too)
The ban on drinks made by the govt is a right decision,we could realize that it is right only when we see men lying on the roads unconscious when their family is waiting for them somewhere.
The irony is that this ban will not stop the sale of liquor that will be done underground.
The advice for not drinking alcohol is okay. But prohibition is bad. The armed forces have the tradition of alcoholic drinks. If drinking alcohlic drink were so bad, armed forces would not encourage it. Drunkenness should not be confused with moderate drinking that is considered good for health.
The problem here lies with those below the poverty line(BPL). All of you will agree that this category is present in majority part of our country. Hence the same should be banned across the country.
I am not aware about the whole news whether they have stopped selling of alcohol in whole state or just given instruction not to drink?
Can any one please tell me.
Alcoholism is a curse in our society.I have seen so many tragedies involving it. The decision, on the face of it,looks great. But the fact reamins that ever since Independence many attempts were made unsuccessfully and the grey and black market thrived unfolding further tragedies. The need of the hour is to launch a vigorous campaign againt it and educate the masses about the ill-effects of alcoholism.By putting a blanket ban the problem can hardly be solved.
Today the Agra based daily newspaper DLA has published a report from Washington that the sight of fatty women' s plump posteriors and bosoms are as intoxicating a sip of beer. This may be of interest to the prohibitionists. This is in lighter vein.
I pity for all those people who are in gujarat.I think this is one of the main reasons why INDIA is still called as a developing country. People should become more mature now. All those people who think that Gujarat is a sacred place just because gandhiji was born there, are morons. I seriously feel that things are not going well for gujarat
Soubhagya Das- The Gujarat Government follows the policy of prohibition viz. total ban on sale of liquor. There is no meaning in issuing instructions. As long as sale of liquor is lawful, people may buy and drink. The policy of prohibition leads to sale of spurious drinks that causes death and immense danger to health.
