One of the Green Revolution states, Haryana, is offering its farmers Rs. 2 as compensation for crops damaged during the 2011 rains.

After a survey and 2 years wait, the government decided to pay ridiculous amounts to the farmers which many refused to accept as it’s required to open a bank account in the nearby town. This costs more than the pittance offered by the government,

    Because of such fraudulent surveys and committees, people lost faith on the committees and the governments that constitute them.

    It is the height of insensitivity...What if they had been ooffered two rupees for their services ! This country is filled with such opportunists who have been given the power to make policies and rule and of course spend peoples money as they want ! We the people of India need to be whipped in the back to have chosen such leaders, cant blame anyone elese ! :angry:

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    I feel pity for the farmers. They should condemn the government and make sure that they get the right compensation. If not they should teach the government a lesson in the upcoming elections.

    Why feel pity, they are at least getting something for their lost efforts in Haryana, no other state in our country is compensating farmers anywhere else.
