Undoubtedly, center misnisters and civil society groups devoted their energy and tome to build a consensus on Lok Pal. There could not be consensus. Now Civil society group is holding talk with various parties. There is also going to be an all party meet.

Although the efforts of civil society members including Anna Hazare are constructive and helpful, the primary responsibility of bringing a strong Lok Pal Bill rests with Union Cabinet. anna Hazare has agreed that he wants only introduction of 'proper bill' in parliament. Rest is discretion of parliament that is acceptable.

There is to be an end to any thing. Now people want an end to Lok Pal Bill discussions and want concrete action. Union Cabinet must immediately come with draft bill and present to parliament. If opposition parties or any supporters of 'civil society group' in parliament do not agree with cabinet approved draft, let them bring amendment to the bill on floor of house. Ultimately, Parliament is supreme.

A strong 'Lok Pal' Act is the ultimate objective and whoever contributes to this end is welcome. It's the scandlous failure on the part of the government which is primarily responsible for the present situation!
BJP has decided to oppose Govt. Draft on Lok Pal even though the Draft is yet to be finalized and presented. The main issue is including Prime Miniser in purview of Lok Pal. DMK favors keeping PM in Lok Pal purview. Left parties also support this view but with some safeguards. There are bound to be differences. As the Cabuinet is responsible for preparing and presenting the Bill to parliament, the cabinet should do its job and everything else will follow.

The All party meet has ended without agreement. In fact, concrete shape will arise only when bill is presented in parliament and discussed.

Anna Hazare has done enough service in this matter. Now the ball is in court of parliament. The 'civil society' should now relax and not venture in fast unto death and similar exercises.

Let us hope the lawmakers of this country would bear in mind the strong sentiments of th prople on this issue while enacting 'Lok Pal' legislation!
The Union Government has ultimately decided to assume full responsibility for placing Lok Pal Bill before parliament without considering civil society group version. This is welcome. Nobody can shift responsibility. It is Cabinet job to draft and present bill. Consultations with others including civil society groups does notshift responsibility.

There has all parties meet. As expected, there is no unity of views. Unaninimous view is very rare and decisions need be taken by majority. Otherwise you may decide nothing and do nothing.
