A BPO employee at Visakhapatnam was today arrested for online credit card fraud running into lakhs of rupees.
The arrested, 25-year P Bala Vamsi Krishna, is a customer service representative in the BPO and a resident of Satyam Heights at SR Nagar.
He was arrested following a complaint by R Sreekanth, the general manger of Red Bus.in, an online bus ticketing agency.
Vamsi Krishna did more than 143 transactions during the past three to four months using credit card data he had obtained from his friends working in a super market and a mobile phone outlet at Kothapet on the pretext of doing some research on, ironically, credit card frauds.
He booked tickets worth Rs 66,000 on this website alone and later cancelled tickets worth Rs 53,384 and got the amount remitted to his account, police said.
Tickets worth nearly Rs 12,000 were used by him.
He bought seven mobile phones and a Sony ca mera on another website www.
futurebazaar.com and got them delivered at his Pune address.
Further, he took three laptops and six systems on rent and sold them to a shopkeeper as his own.
Police recovered six mobile phones, three laptops, six computers and other gadgets worth Rs 3 lakh from him.

This kind of incidences has also happened in the past by bpo employees by the person cheated in this case is an Indian. Persons running these outsourcing business should somehow need to tackle this problem of cumtomer insecurity so curb down the menace...
