Ajmal Kasab, who shot dead 166 persons along with his associates in November 2008, would be decided today by a special court which will consider imposing either "Life Imprisonment" or "Death Penalty".

Kasab murdered many in a very heinous manner. S aptly pointed out by the prosecuting advocate, he is a death machine. Death sentence is most appropriate as this is 'rarest of the rarest' case justifying the death sentence.

Yes... Kasab should be given death sentence... and any other terrorists who enter India should develop a sort fear that India is not only a Mercy Country.

Ajmal kasab has death sentenced by the Mumbai special court justice Tahilyani on today( 06-5-10.
Yes.... This is really a good news for all the sufferers.

Thanks 'n' Regards,

Now Kasab has even stopped taking breakfast whereas he used to demand biryani. He is now feeling so uneasy. This is how cowards behave when their own life is in danger. Contrast it with martyrs who smilingly kissed the hangman noose.

I think Only hang until death is not solution for terrorist. I think life in prison is best option for Kasab.
To finish terrorist I think they should be killed on fight but after catching a terrorist both option may by think as per torririst behaviour.

I agree with Santosh. Death sentence is in fact lighter than life imprisonment. A terrorist could be killed in confrontation with police but this is not supposed to be deliberate and no further investigation is possible if terrorist is killed on spot.
The second problem is that we have not a single hangman presently.
Thirdly, implementation of death sentence is a long process. The High court has to confirm the death sentence, that can be appealed before supreme Court. The sentenced may also finally make mercy petition before President, which takes years to decide.
