Now Priyanka Gandhi has come to the rescue of brother in UP elections. Will the part time politics yield some benefits for Congress??
She has come to campaign like earlier times. If she joins Congress as politician, will that save the sinking ship of Congress??

Every political parties are desperate to win elections and will do every possible means to win an election. So we should not be surprised by Congress bringing in Priyanka for canvassing. Whether we think its silly or not, but the mass in India always seems to be interested in the celebrities that come canvassing only during election times.

I agree. In a bid to win in any election it is not uncommon to see Political parties using different tricks and props to lure the Voters.
What I want to drive home the point is,it is better to wait and watch
It is a good move by Congress and they should have done this far years back. She is more charismatic and could possible raise some more votes and mostly cut through votes of BSP and that should indirectly help out BJP but she is more capable as from her statements and from her campaigning trends in earlier seems obvious.
Yes, she definitely seems to be more capable and charismatic than her brother to many. But only time will tell her real capacity and contribution as a politician. Even though she might help Congress but I feel that her entry is really late. Congress has suffered damage and has lost its credibility. She might not be much help rather than dividing the votes in the coming election but might help Congress in long run. But that will work only if she comes in real politics. However her husband's record might go against her image.
From Nehru to Priyanka,all are corrupted due their Vote Bank Politics. Any Tom, Dick and Harry from Congress is unreliable. In the ensuing UP elections, Priyanka may fetch some seats due to her alliance with the Samajwadi Party., but I am sure she doesn't have the capacity to win the majority seats to become the ruling party of UP

There is no connection between being a lady of strength and a good PM ...Indira Gandhi in my opinion was one of the worst Prime Ministers ever because of many things...
As far as V P Singh was considered , he did not bring in reservations since it was already there brought in by the Congress govt .. In fact VP Singh was the first Congress minister to have raised the Bofors issue and Rahul Gandhi's role in it and as expected he was kicked out of Congress party and he formed Janta Dal. He was made the PM when Janata Dal won the elections in alliance with other parties . He has always been known as a very honest and upright leader but extending caste reservation through the almost forgotten Mandal commission under Morarjee Desai ,was his waterloo...
As far as the issue of Vajpayee calling Indira Gandhi Durga , it was the CPU M leader Yetchury who came up with that idea which Vajpayee has denied..
Who is she in first place? What other identity she has other than the family member of Gandhi?
As far as her coming to support her brother is nothing new. She has always been done this during elections specially in UP. As I personally feel that this is high time for the people of UP to come out and vote for their betterment and not for some resembling faces. For congress party it may look that she is savoir but the cruel truth is both Bro-sis team could not able to do any magic in national level. Congress is gone down and down since they have accepted Rahul as their leader. Let's see now what result comes out in future.
