Rajeev Gandhi's killers to be released.

Not really surprising that Rahul Gandhi is against freeing the criminals as they did kill his father in a horrible manner! Also, this may raise several questions against the judicial system in general, as their plea for mercy was lying pending with the President for more than 11 years! :blink: If the killers of a PM of the second largest democracy are let off free, it does raise many fearful questions in the minds of common people!

Rahul Gandhi's fathr was killed and he wants revenge by ensuring that killers must be hanged till death even though they have suffered more than enough punishment by way of prolonged imprisonment under constant fear of hangman's noose. Revenge is not object of modern jurisprudence. we cannot find fault with T.N. C.M.'s action to release the killers. There should be no fearful questions in peoples' minds as the culprits had already suffereed enough and the apex court has commuted the death sentence after considering all aspects.

The entire scenario passes a completely wrong message to the people. This may even lead to many hardened criminals thinking they can get off with heinous crimes and many have indeed been let off of after few years' imprisonment! It does not at all sound fair and just!

I garee...And it is not just Rajeev Gandhi but other security personnel as well who were killed and naturally those families are livid with this judgment. I personally feel that they should be given a life sentence no matter what they had to suffer, since they have killed people without any feeling or remorse..

What is more upseting is that the plea for mercy was pending with the President's office for more than 11 years, that plus other legal technicalities is the reason why these people are being allowed to walk off! Is there any justice anyone can see in this?? :blink: :blink:

This is correct. In case of BJP and congress both being unable to get good numbers, jai lalitha or Mulayam singh or some one else decided by coalition partners may be P.M. Jay lalitha has a chance but no certainty.

Under Sonia run UPA anything and everything is possible ! I dont think that we have ever had such a scam filled governance in the history of our country after independence....The bureaucracy and courts too function accordingly !

Honorable Supreme Court stayed the release proceeding of former PM killers and it seems it is safeguarding interests of common masses as the whole matter is coiled between politics of political parties.

They have been awarded with 19 yrs of life imprisonment, and they have completed so they can be released,
