Most of us write articles on this site. It is sometimes not so easy to get hold of a suitable topic for writing articles that you feel comfortable with....Thats why I prefer to have set topics to write on, which saves on a bit of work for me ! I am interested to know different view points as to how you select a topic for article and how do you go about it...

I use different keywords analysis tools that inform me which are the keywords that users are searching on leading search engines. By searching keywords, you will find what are the interest of people and then pick any keyword that you think is suitable for your style of writing. You can also get ideas from different answer website such as Yahoo Answer. Millions of questions asked by the users everyday. By skimming through those question you will get an idea about the topics that are popular on the internet currently. Make a list of topics and select the one that you are comfortable with. That's how usually I go :)
When you get paid for page views you may feel like doing all that, otherwise personally I would rather write on topics that interest me rather than show on the search engine...I agree that our articles should have readers and for that we need to keep in mind what is being liked and read today..
Agreed. At the end of the day, its your own theme and your own style will stand out head and shoulders above the rest.
When you do it in case of page view sites why not consider the interests of the one who pay you in advance? We should always keep it in mind so that sight owners (down payment) look for your interest as well, they pay you better if you give SE friendly stuff.[/quote
This is good suggestion. Site is professional and revenue is main object. so we should do our best to bring more revenue. to the site. The down payment also comes ultimately from site earning. Besides, monthly revenue distribution is directly linked to earning.
It all starts with a good subject. If the theme is good, one can achieve all the good results of what you mentioned benefiting both the writer and the site.
That's what I mean, you can write whatever you like but use enough keywords which attract search engines.

Comparatively I'm new. Ever since I'm here, I have been sharing.
We can share our article links on twitter or any other promotional site even if the site is not integrated. You just have to copy the link and paste on the promting site..
You can share the link but it would not add any views if the site is not integrated with that particular sharing site.

Diggs and google too is good for getting views other than twitter which is actually the best !
Oh you are really facing big trouble, what I feel that you need a push start therefore I will provide you with a list of topics for next month.
Provide me too with a list. I struggle choosing a particular topic.
Certainly, the day your first article is submitted, I will provide you with a whole list to choose from. ;)

Google recognizes some reliable book marking sites. As you mentioned digg is also there along with its own Blogger. You can add Stumble Upon to the list for increasing the page views.
