Lankans will miss only the games played at Chennai. BCCI have allowed them to play at rest of the venues. So there is nothing for them to worry.

Out of 10 games to be played in Chennai, Lankans are involved in 9 games. And Chennai is one of the top cricketing cennters of Inda. Lankans will miss a big chunk of excitement, which is all about cricket.
This is very regrettable. Srilanka is a friendly county and they have done nothing against us. The issue of human rights is significant and it is also appreciated that there is sympathy in Tamilnad for ethnic Tamils in Srilanka. But it should also not be forgotten that Tamil militants were fighting against sovereignty of their own nation.

Politics, the main polluting agent, now did not leave even the sports arena.

Continuous protests by the students (all - Engg. Medical, law, arts & Science, IIT) made CM wrote a letter to prime Minister of India.

This is what we get if we elect such mean politicians.

Continuous protests by the students (all - Engg. Medical, law, arts & Science, IIT) made CM wrote a letter to prime Minister of India.

Ya true. Students protested continuously for about a week.

So Jayalalita plays with the national prestige? If she is a good leader she stop the agitations of the students.

Attempts were made to stop the students from protests,

At any way you look at the way Jayalalita treated this issue is not appreciable

By writing to the PM and making it an open issue, she damaged her own prestige and integrity. And cricket enjoys immense popularity in the country. In one stroke, she made herself infamous.

IPL has gained lot of popularities and it has its own expectations. It is unfair to stop a team players from playing in that particular locality.

And who do you think is responsible for this? Is it not the pressurizing tactics of politicians?

Obviously yes. No question about it.

The Srilankan players are part of IPL teams and not sponsored by Srilanka government. As such, stand of Jaya lalitha is very illogical and a bad step.
