Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for Human Resource Development suggested that the proposed revised anti-rape law be named after the gang raped and killed medical student in a moving bus recently.
Rambabu, Indian Government has clearly explained that no law can have name of any individual. Our constituency laws have no provisions for this.
Its the suggestion. Not a decision.
Shashi Taroor is an intellectual and his thinking and views may never be appreciated by the Indian public because of its directness since we are used to thinking something and saying something else....I don't see anything wrong in his statement.Instead of naming everything either Nehru, Rajeev or Indira , why not give some importance to people who have lost their lives because of the law makers laxity ?I feel Shashi Taroor has a point there ...
