I can't understand anything....what is RACEME?
This is not a common word. This is a technical term in Life sciences. This means flower cluster.

I think if you must have floated this keeping in mind familiarising ourselves with words which have a bearing on everyday use! Let members find those out!
For example we know what is a 'sentence' but its adjective form 'sententious' means a kind of pomposity in using words in a sentence!
Let us study 'race'.
Race means- a competition of running.
This also means- a particular human breed.
From this follow racist, racialism, racial etc.
Very good to begin with! Only 'racy' is not in the list. 'Racy' is adjective meaning 'flowing'. A writer can follow a racy style in his language to make his or her work highly readable!

Really a nice thread started. I think, we should concentrate more on simple words. If so, we can learn many simple words with slight variations, more easily. :)
Oh thats great I dont know this.
Gulshan ji as per sarala raceme means the bunch of bananas.
I could not find 'bunch of banana' by Googling. I have given link for the meaning I gave.
What I could dimly remember it is a botanical term meaning 'cluster'
What you remember is correct. I have given link above with my answer.

Yes of course. I have studied it years before. Remembered, when Gulshanji quoted it :)
Eh! This useful thread has been pushed back!! None is interested and still we lament absence of quality.
What's the meaning of helter-skelter? Make a sentence!!!
I searched web and got the answer "In chaotic and disorderly haste" meaning so haste that it creates mistakes. Am I right?
