How many of you still like to visit libraries?
I love libraries and like to read different kind of books. Library not only provide books or educational learning but also provides a peace of silence which you dont get anywhere. But in the era of e-books ,libraries are extinguished. I wish our government start some libraries in the town, it would be real help for people who likes reading .

Government libraries are the gift of every human being. We can utilize it fully.
Are there any left now? I see the ones in my town in a pathetic state, with broken down furniture,torn books and an uncared for look that is really sad. Even the staff is either not there or totally disinterested.
You are right, in the era of e-books people hardly visit libraries anymore. I remember visiting my local book library when I was a kid. I used to enjoy the calm and peace in the library. Looks like the good old days won't ever come back again. These days people download their favorite books through torrents and other file sharing sites in the form of e-books.

You are right, in the era of e-books people hardly visit libraries anymore. I remember visiting my local book library when I was a kid. I used to enjoy the calm and peace in the library. that's right the craze for going to the libraries has reduced in people with the advent of internet now people don't go to library so often as they used to in the past. :evil:
Nowadays people used to read the newspaper in websites only.
But I still like to read newspaper I don't read news on net. I don't why but to read newspaper in the morning with cup of tea is what I like most. :)

No I don't as I don't have libraries nearby my house. I used to go to them when I was in college after that I never visited any library. :blink:

Since I am staying alone in Chennai. I often go to library. I love reading magazines and newspapers. It gives me much pleasure.

Valuable information Arun Selvan. Connemara Public Library is on of the well known libraries across the world. Chennai is blessed to have Connemara Library.
Books are man's best friend. I used to visit library but as pointed out by vikas, internet is world library now.
Since I have the habit of visiting libraries often, I am having a lot of library friends. We are having get together also at regular intervals.
Apart from social sites you make friends in libraries too. That's a good news.
